Good Housekeeping Gives "Thumbs
Up" for Distribution of Monthly Reports
via Pathfire
Atlanta, GA February 20, 2007
- Good Housekeeping and The Good Housekeeping
Research Institute, the consumer product evaluation
laboratory of Good Housekeeping and relied upon
for over 100 years for its consumer research,
has begun delivery of its 12 monthly reports
directly to broadcast TV stations via Pathfire's
Digital Media Gateway ("DMG"). Using
Pathfire technology, nationwide subscribers
can both seamlessly manage their station's products
while moving these products to air.
"The management that was involved with
satellite feeds was no longer an efficient or
effective means for distributing our reports,"
says Richard Eisenberg, Executive Producer for
Good Housekeeping Reports. "We had the
all too common issue of missed feeds that resulted
in having to refeed the content. When you have
to evaluate and report on over 2,000 products
a year, your time and energy must be used in
the best manner possible."
According to Peter Rosenbaum,
News Sales Manager for Pathfire, "Delivering
the type and volume of content that Good Housekeeping
was handling made it clear that a Pathfire DMG
solution was in order. The entire workflow is
managed by Pathfire and includes all phases
of the distribution process from ingest to distribution
at targeted stations."
"As subscribers to the Good Housekeeping
Reports, Hearst-Argyle is pleased to see a change
to file based delivery via Pathfire. The workflow
improvements will aid our stations immensely."
says Martin Faubell, VP Engineering, Hearst-Argyle
Television.
Pathfire will be demonstrating
the DMG end-to-end content delivery suite at
the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB)
Convention, Booth SU 7405. NAB is April 16-19,
2007 in Las Vegas, NV.
