NewsProNet Launches Digital Delivery of Strategic Broadcast Content Through Pathfire's Digital Media Gateway

ATLANTA, GA, October 7, 2004 - Pathfire, Inc., the leading provider of digital content distribution and management solutions for the broadcast industry, announced today an agreement with NewsProNet, a leader in strategic content solutions for local television broadcasters, to distribute their strategic content products to NewsProNet's more than 150 local broadcast affiliate subscribers. NewsProNet is already delivering their market-exclusive SweepsFeed™ and Discoveries & Breakthroughs Inside Science® reports via Pathfire's Digital Media Gateway™ (DMG) and will be launching their new "Heads Up!" consumer watchdog service in November.

Pathfire's DMG, an automated IP multicast distribution platform, distributes and manages content to over 1,100 broadcast stations in the US and Canada. "Newsrooms now have immediate desktop access to NewsProNet's content, eliminating the need to roll tape on scheduled satellite feeds," said Pat Poersch, Pathfire's Director of Short-Form Content Distribution. "By selecting Pathfire DMG as their digital content distribution service, NewsProNet is poised to expand its distribution network to additional stations throughout Pathfire's vast footprint."
